What could be so difficult about a cross-country road race? Other than the fact that it’s illegal, that is. Twenty-seven million dollars is not the only thing at stake for the contestants. People from all over the country are flocking to the starting point, Seattle, Washington. However, not everyone is aware of the race. Only an elite selected vehicles have been invited to join. With the finish line unknown to the contestants, there is no telling what could go wrong along the way. A flat tire, shut down highways, cops, anything is possible. Each day, time is ticking for participants to reach the designated checkpoint. To come in last will carry with it considerable consequences. Who will win, and how many of the selected vehicles will actually make it to the finish line? With no time for questions, you don’t know who or what you’re racing against. All you can do is Floor It.
There is, however, one small catch. Each of the contestants must keep a log (journal) of their journey, keeping records of where they've been, how long they've been there and so forth. Without this detailed record, you might just be disqualified.

» Don’t be stupid. There’s a line between being in character and being out of character. Don’t cross it. If one character has a problem with your character, that doesn’t mean that the player of said character has a problem with you. If you have any problems, please speak to one of the mods. Don’t let it get out of hand; we want everyone to enjoy the game.
» Godmodding. You only have control of your character. Don’t get greedy and attempt to control others. If you have permission from said player, that’s fine, but if not…don’t do it. If someone is godmodding your character without your express permission, let us know. We want to nip this in the bud before it gets blown out of proportion which will no doubt lead to the previous bullet.
» Keep it real people! While the entirety of roleplaying on GJ is fiction, we want to portray as much as we can realistically. If your character is three weeks pregnant, she’s not going to all of a sudden give birth the following day to a healthy bouncing baby. Pertaining to the game, if a cop tries to pull you over, you can try to outrun them, but realistically, you’re going to get caught.
» Activity is a must for a game to live. Updates are to be done once every two weeks. We know this might seem like a short amount of time, but we want to know that you as well as your character are still around. Only one of those two updates need be substantial as in at least two decent paragraphs with five sentences each. We would of course prefer for as much for your other update, but we’re not going to put too much pressure on this lest we see an extreme lack of substance in game play as well as updates.
» Usernames and Screen Names must pertain to your character in some way. It can be their personality, their vehicle, the reason they are racing… The possibilities are endless. They don’t necessarily have to include their name, but it would be a lot easier if their AIM screen name did. We are not going to require you to have an in character AIM screen name, but we will however require at the very least a means for contacting you whether it be through a messenger or email.
» Premades are listed HERE and are for the most part vague. Please be realistic when choosing which premade you’d like to fill and in composing your character’s history. If there are other people in the vehicle with your character, please make sure your histories correspond.
» Character limit is at two per person. You may only have one person of each gender. They may not be in the same vehicle and you may not take on more than one character in each set of adds.
» Played-Bys like everything else need to be realistic. Sophia Bush is not a 16 year old high school student nor is she a 30 year old mother. There should only be THREE characters in this game that are under 18 years old (THE FORD MUSTANG & the child of THE VOLVO S40). We will be extremely picky about the age of the characters in the game. As there are only three characters younger than 18, there are also only two others that can be younger than 21 (THE VOLKSWAGON BUS). Your character may only be within a five year age difference from that of your played-by.
» Best of all, have fun! This is a game after all.
